Coming off a double-digit victory over the Orlando Magic last night, the San Antonio Spurs have a legitimate shot at igniting a winning streak against the injury-riddled Dallas Mavericks at the AT&T Center on Wednesday night.

Regarding streaks, Spurs center Zach Collins has consecutive games with 20+ points. The Spurs frontcourt helped their team to a dominant win over the play-in tournament hopeful Magic. Conversely, the Mavs' frontcourt doesn't offer much friction on defense. Despite being an admirable player regarding effort and off-court charity acts, Dwight Powell lacks the power and skill side of playing center in the NBA.

Maxi Kleber, while a decent defender, is still getting his feet wet after only playing 27 games this season due to a hamstring tear. Even the championship center on the Mavs' roster, JaVale McGee, is in the latter stage of his career, appearing in occasional outings. Lastly, Christian Wood, the most talented center on the roster, lacks defensive consistency and hasn't gained traction with Mavs' head coach Jason Kidd.

The point is the Spurs' fast-paced offense is a recipe for disaster for the hobbled Mavs, especially considering their below-average frontcourt depth.
