Spurs' Devin Vassell Announces Business Partnership: 'Forged in Fire!'
Many expect San Antonio Spurs guard Devin Vassell to make an All-Star leap this upcoming season while co-starring alongside rookie Victor Wembanyama.
But before the on-court festivities get started, Vassell is creating business partnerships off the court. On Monday, he announced on Instagram that he's partnered with Steel Plate, a manufacturing company that makes weight plates for workout equipment.
"I’m proud to be partnering with Steel Plate as we shape the next generation of American manufacturing and professional basketball," Vassell wrote on social media.
Vassell included a video to show fans more about the announcement, which featured some powerful words from the man himself.
"Greatness is forged in fire, shaped by the challenges that we overcome. In every step, every cut, we become stronger. It takes more than just talent. It takes resolve, it takes steel. I am a product of fire. The next generation. Watch me rise.

If Vassell can take another leap and emerge into stardom, there's no reason to think he can't begin to border on being at an All-Star level, even though it might take a few more years for him to officially receive the honor.
Vassell finished last season with career-best numbers in points (18.5) and assists (3.6), though he played in only 38 games due to mid-season knee surgery that kept him out an extended period. After being sidelined for about two months, he came back to average 15.6 points in 30.1 minutes in the month of March.
The Spurs open up the regular season at home against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
