In this story:

1. GREGG POPOVICH EMBARRASSED AFTER WORST LOSS OF SEASON

“We played well for about a quarter, but after that, I thought we just gave in,” Popovich said. “I thought we embarrassed ourselves by giving in the way we did. But the Celtics had a lot to do with that."

2. POP PRAISES PROCESS DESPITE LOSS

"Even though they're young, their attitudes towards practice, a win, a loss ... is important to developing their leadership," Popovich said. "We make that part of their growth process and development for sure."

3. ZACH COLLINS ALSO DISAPPOINTED AFTER CELTICS DEFEAT

"They caught fire and we couldn't recover," Collins said. "I think we tried to get back into it. Maybe we did give in — we definitely have to watch the film. When you lose by 40, there's probably a lot of things that went wrong. We should never lose a game like that."

4. JEREMY SOCHAN IN AUSTIN

"Fans will get a chance to meet players, win giveaways and even watch a game during the week before the Spurs take the floor in the Moody Center, as a part of the team's goal to “purposefully engage and celebrate the Spurs’ entire fan base, extending from Mexico to Austin.""

5. NEXT SPURS GAME

The Spurs are back in action tomorrow at home against Lauri Markkanen and the Utah Jazz. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. You can watch in-market on Bally Sports Southwest or out-of-market on NBA League Pass.
