In this story:

1. JOHNNY MOORE FIRED UP ABOUT WEMBY "Anyhow, the old legend lit up when I asked him about Victor Wembanyama. He's as fired up about Wemby as any local and can't wait to use his freebie tickets this season to see the kid play in person."

2. BRING BEDIAKO BACK? "Bediako averaged 17.5 points, 17.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.8 blocks for San Antonio during NBA Summer League," USA Today wrote. "He was incredibly productive when he was on the court."

3. SPARK PLUG PAYNE "Payne's impact first begins in the locker room. Everybody in Phoenix loved him and he did a great job of amping his teammates before and during games. He was very much a spark plug for the Suns and that should carry over into San Antonio."

4. FOURNIER TO SPURS? “It's not the Spurs of 2014 anymore but playing for Coach Pop and learning from him, it would be a pleasure and an honor, for sure," Fournier said in an interview with Yann Ohnona of L'Equipe,. Being with Victor (Wembanyama) looking at the Olympics, being able to start chemistry on the court, that would be great."

5. LEBRON, BRONNY TO KNICKS? "But maybe, a summer from now, the Knicks could woo LeBron James away from the Los Angeles Lakers, convincing him to switch coasts and head to New York."
