In this story:

1. JERAMI GRANT TO SPURS IN FREE AGENCY?

"I wanted him on the team because of his size and length," Popovich said of Grant. "He [also brings] flexibility and versatility ... and he's a competitor. He's very coachable, aggressive and a good person. He's the right guy to have on a basketball team."

2. MALAKI BRANHAM COMPARISON

"Branham has some real craft in ball screens to be able to get away from his man, and I really like the way he attacks closeouts aggressively off the catch," The Athletic writes. "But this season he looked like a better version of Jaylen Nowell long term — a valuable rotation scorer but maybe not quite a starter without some real improvement. The good news? He has a lot of time, and San Antonio should give him some freedom to figure it out."

3. LONNIE WALKER IV REJUVENATING CAREER WITH LAKERS

"As a kid, I always dreamed of not just being a part of the playoffs, but impacting it," Walker said.

4. TONIGHT'S PLAYOFF GAMES

Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 6:30 p.m. CST, ESPN (76ers lead 3-2)

Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns, 9:00 p.m. CST, ESPN (Nuggets lead 3-2)

5. NBA DRAFT LOTTERY COUNTDOWN

The Spurs are five days away from the NBA Draft Lottery, where it will be revealed if San Antonio will have the opportunity to take Victor Wembanyama with the No. 1 overall pick.
