In this story:

1. POWER RANKINGS RISE "The changes that did happen, including the additions of Cedi Osman and Reggie Bullock, could bolster the rotation and add experience without derailing that development. But the biggest reason to think San Antonio might be better is the addition of Victor Wembanyama," Bleacher Report writes. "Although rookies typically don't boost a team's win percentage, Wembanyama is such a natural fit on this team. His most translatable skills are likely on defense, where the learning curve is usually longer for young players."

2. BREAKING BASKETBALL "It's hard to say anything about Wembanyama without sounding like you're speaking in hyperbolic superlatives," Bleacher Report writes. "He has once-in-a-generation upside with a never-before seen blend of size, skill and mobility. If he shoots consistently from three, he might break the sport of basketball."

3. REGGIE BULLOCK'S IMPACT "Earlier this month, in a trade with the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics, the Spurs acquired Reggie Bullock."

4. CLAP BACK! "I see it as an insecurity on his end," Nicholson said. "I didn't know he was thinking about me for the last 11 years. I wasn't thinking about y'all, I'm going to be honest with you."

5. HORNETS SOLD According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA Board of Governors approved Michael Jordan selling the Charlotte Hornets to Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin's ownership group. Jordan will remain a minority owner.
