The San Antonio Spurs are wrapping up the preseason in the Bay Area when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Friday night at the Chase Center.

It could be the Warriors' first shot at seeing Victor Wembanyama across the court in live action.

“He’s a sensation,” Warriors forward Dario Šarić said via Mercury News. “He’s 7-foot-4, shooting and dribbling the ball like a guard, so he’s going to be a challenge for us.”

It remains to be seen whether Wembanyama will play or sit in the team's final contest before the regular season against the Warriors. Wembanyama didn't play Monday against the Houston Rockets, but did play in the team's rematch on Wednesday.

Coach Gregg Popovich may opt to rest the No. 1 overall pick to ensure he's ready for Wednesday's opener against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks at home. He likely will sit some of his better players to ensure injury doesn't happen at the final hurdle, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

The Spurs' goal for the final preseason game is to learn more about the players at the bottom of the roster and get healthy and ready for the regular season to begin.
