The San Antonio Spurs are dipping into the trade market at the start of free agency.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Spurs are involved in a three-team trade that is sending Miami Heat wing Max Strus to the Cleveland Cavaliers while Cedi Osman, Lamar Stevens and a future second-round pick are being acquired by San Antonio.

Osman, 28, has spent the first six years of his career with the Cavs, primarily in a bench role. This past season, he averaged 8.7 points per game, the worst mark since his rookie year.

Stevens, who turns 26 later this month, averaged 5.3 points per game last year, his third season in the NBA (all with the Cavs).

Both Osman ($6.7 million) and Stevens ($1.9 million) are on expiring contracts, meaning they will both become free agents after this upcoming season.

It remains to be seen whether or not Osman and Stevens will remain with the Spurs or whether San Antonio is just a connection on the way to their final destination. However, after losing Keita Bates-Diop in free agency to the Phoenix Suns on Friday, it's possible that one or both of the former Cavaliers could be the Spurs' answer to replace him.
