Suns Forward Jae Crowder Continues to Send Cryptic Messages
Phoenix Suns power forward Jae Crowder, for lack of a better term, is straight up not having a good time.
Reports and rumors of Cameron Johnson finally etching his name into the starting lineup on a consistent basis have flown all offseason, and a potential contract extension will all but ensure he's on the floor for most minutes.
Crowder (32) believes there's still plenty left in his tank, and earlier this summer he made his desires for a fresh start known.
Crowder has been discussed as a potential trade token for the Suns, who look to find ways to improve their roster after not securing Kevin Durant. After news broke of Durant remaining in Brooklyn, Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro reported Phoenix was on the prowl to upgrade their power forward position.
The tension between the Suns and Crowder is now no secret, and another stop in the social media journey of Crowder yet again drives home the point that he wants out.
Miami, another team that sought Durant, may also be interested in a reunion with Crowder, who played for the Heat during their run to the 2020 NBA Finals.
With plenty of time still left in the offseason, it's very possible Crowder gets his wish for a fresh start elsewhere. Perhaps Phoenix feels the same.
