These Three Suns Just Became Trade Eligible
The Phoenix Suns have been heavily linked in trade rumors since the summer thanks to the statuses of players such as Deandre Ayton and Jae Crowder.
Ayton, who can't be dealt until Jan. 15, was the topic of sign-and-trade rumors all the way until the Suns matched his offer sheet just moments after the Indiana Pacers tried to sign him.
Crowder, on the other hand, has been away from the team since the preseason and will not step foot on the court for Phoenix after the two sides mutually agreed to his absence until a trade partner was found.
Yet trade talks and rumors are only going to amplify beginning today, as ESPN's Bobby Marks points out a whopping 74 free agents who signed with their team in the offseason can now be traded.
Three of that 74 belong to Phoenix:
1. Bismack Biyombo
Salary: $1,836,090
2022-23 Stats: 3.2 points | 3.4 rebounds | 0.8 assists | 1.5 blocks on 12.3 minutes averaged per night
Biyombo has emerged as the secondary option behind Deandre Ayton and has provided the Suns with a tough, physical presence in the paint. It is notable that Biyombo has one-year Bird Rights, so he could deny a potential trade elsewhere.
2. Damion Lee
Salary: $1,836,090
2022-23 Stats: 8.3 points | 3.4 rebounds | 1.3 assists | 0.5 steals on 21.4 minutes averaged per night
When looking for clutch shooters in Phoenix, look no further than Damion Lee. Lee has bailed the Suns out of holes on multiple times and has given Phoenix a much-needed shooter behind the arc.
3. Josh Okogie
Salary: $1,836,090
2022-23 Stats: 3.8 points | 2.4 rebounds | 0.9 assists | 0.6 steals on 9.5 minutes averaged per night
Okogie didn't play much to begin the season, yet his defensive prowess as an on-ball defender has shined in recent games. His career-high of 28 points vs. Boston last week also proved he could take command offensively on occasion as well.
Deandre Ayton will become trade eligible on Jan. 15 but can't be traded to Pacers and will have veto powers on any trade this season.
