Here are three bold predictions for the Phoenix Suns in the 2022-23 NBA season:

Jae Crowder and Suns agree to time away from team as both parties work towards a trade.

1. Jae Crowder deal gets done

Rumors have run rampant for the Phoenix Suns this offseason, and PW Jae Crowder’s fit in the lineup has caused some to speculate his departure from the team.

Over the past few weeks, Crowder has not shied away from the gossip on his contract as well his relationship with head coach Monty Williams and teammates. Between the end of the year altercation on the bench, cryptic tweets, and sound bites from practice and interviews, all signs point to a deal being done involving Jae Crowder.

The question will be what kind of packages are teams willing to offer. A deal is most likely with an Eastern conference team looking to add Crowder into the mix and contend for a championship.

SG Devin Booker has looked sharp in two preseason games, hoping to lead Suns during the regular season as well.

2. Devin Booker is named an All-Star starter

Suns SG Devin Booker was named a reserve for the all-star team for a third consecutive year last season. He enjoyed his role playing in 30 minutes and scoring 20 PTS, 5 REB and 2 AST.

Booker enters his eighth NBA season, steadily improving each year. The Suns leading scorer will be primed for another monster season if he manages to stay healthy.

There’s considerable guard competition in the west, but if Booker continues to lead a hot Phoenix Suns team in the first half like we've seen before, his fourth consecutive all-star appearance may come with a start.

Phoenix Suns have the tools to make a deep run in the playoffs, just a matter of executing in 2022-23 season.

3. The Suns make The Finals

After a run during the 2020-21 NBA season, fueled by the bubble circumstances due to COVID-19, the Suns will build off a successful regular season of last year.

A No. 1 seed in the Western Conference came to little avail as the Suns fell in historic fashion to the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs. Some major changes have been made since then.

A new look Suns team will take some time to settle in. Some chemistry will have to be found with some new faces in the gym, but new ownership, veteran presence, young athletic talent, a bright star in the league and a hungry fanbase can be the right ingredients to get over the hump for a city despite for another crack at the franchise's first title.
