Steph Curry Expected to Return vs. Suns

The Phoenix Suns will be down some players of their own heading into Tuesday's matchup with Golden State. The Warriors can't say the same, as Steph Curry is expected to play.

The Phoenix Suns really need to catch a break with the injury bug, but it appears their Tuesday night matchup with the Golden State Warriors won't offer much luck.

Warriors guard Steph Curry is expected to return to action after missing 11 games with a shoulder injury sustained on Dec. 14. Initially expected to be back this weekend, his rehab has gone faster than expected.

Golden State was able to stay around .500 during his absence with a 6-5 record. Splash buddy Klay Thompson (knee) is probable to play, too.

The Suns hope to get their strongest players back on the court sooner rather than later. Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Cam Payne and Cam Johnson all will be missing in action due to injury.

Jae Crowder still isn't with the team, either.

Those absences have unfortunately been a large story for Phoenix's sub-.500 record this season, as the Suns have lost their last six games and have won just one in their last ten. They have a 5-15 record since December.

As for the Warriors, their current two-game losing skid stopped what was a five-game winning streak for the team. Thompson has picked up the scoring slack in Golden State with point totals of 54 and 30 in two of their last three games.

In 26 games played, Curry has averaged 30 points on 50% shooting from the field.
