Surging Suns Hope to Maintain Form vs. Bulls
With a victory on Wednesday evening, the Phoenix Suns (14-6) would extend their winning streak to six games, their longest of the season. The Suns are currently on their second streak of 5+ games won on the year.
Last season, the Suns found winning streaks of 18, 11, 9 and 8 during a year that saw them set a franchise record of 64 wins.
Although that will be hard to match this season, Phoenix is off to another strong start even without the likes of Chris Paul and Cam Johnson in the lineup.
Keeping their top spot in the West won't be easy as December begins, especially with a tough Chicago Bulls team in store. Despite being just 9-11 on the year, the Bulls enter Wednesday winning their last three-of-four games while defeating the likes of Boston, Milwaukee and Utah in that stretch.
Their sole loss in that time span came in overtime to the Oklahoma City Thunder. DeMar DeRozan hit scoring totals of 25, 32 and 37 in that stretch.
The Suns have seen their own tremendous scoring display from Devin Booker, who is fresh off a 44-point performance in Monday's win over Sacramento.
“It’s amazing. I mean he’s one of the greats. It’s an honor to play with him. I’ve played with some greats before. I just try to find a way, follow his lead, find a way to continue to help him get better," said Damion Lee.
"And him being receptive to my input and my thoughts. He studies the game, watches the game at a high level, and plays at a high level. I’ll continue to go with him, we’re here so we just run with him.
Deandre Ayton is also coming off his sixth straight double-double performance, as the reigning Western Conference Player of the Week also figures to have an impact.
Opening tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PM Arizona time.
