Devin Booker Odds to Win 2023 MVP Award Unveiled
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has slowly climbed his way up the NBA ranks.
After being a lottery pick for the Suns, Booker has emerged into one of the league's best scorers. His three consecutive All-Star appearances and Olympic gold medal on top of this year's All-NBA first team nod appear to be just the beginning of his basketball resume.
Booker has fell just short in two facets: Winning the league's MVP award, and winning the NBA Finals.
The latter nearly happened two years ago when the Suns were up 2-0 over the Milwaukee Bucks before Phoenix let the NBA Finals slip away. This season, Booker finished fourth in MVP voting.
However, the 2022-23 season looks to be different after the Suns bounced out of the playoffs early. Phoenix will need Booker to emerge into an even better player to capture that elusive championship - the same goes for capturing his first MVP trophy.
BetMGM recently released their odds on who will win the 2022-23 regular season MVP trophy, and Booker found himself tied with Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James at +2000 to take home the award.
2023 NBA MVP Odds
Joel Embiid +500
Luka Doncic +550
Giannis Antetokounmpo +700
Nikola Jokic +850
Ja Morant +1000
Kevin Durant +1200
Jayson Tatum +1400
Steph Curry +1800
LeBron James +2000
Devin Booker +2000
Trae Young +3000
Kawhi Leonard +4000
Last season, Booker played 68 games and averaged a career-high 26.8 points per game. He also saw a career-high in rebounds per contest (5) with 4.8 assists as well.
Booker played a major role in the Suns reaching new franchise records, including regular season wins (64).
