Familiar Faces Help Nets Down Suns

The Phoenix Suns lost to two pretty familiar names on Wednesday.

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns again fell in the loss column, and this time, two familiar faces were at the helm.

The return of former Suns fan favorites Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges was a notable storyline heading into tonight. After receiving their own special "thank you" video from the organization, the ball was tipped, and past memories were temporarily forgotten.

The two combined for 36 points in their first action back in the Valley, helping down the Suns in 116-112 fashion. Phoenix drops to 13-11 and have now lost their last four-of-six.

Brooklyn improves to 13-10 on the year and are now winners of their last four-of-five.

The debut of Phoenix's collective Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal showed some promise despite the loss.

Beal: 14 points
Booker: 34 points
Durant: 27 points

“I am really excited about it. Have high hopes for what this group can do together and, in every game and minute that we can get to help build that cohesion," said Frank Vogel prior to the game.

"So whether it is five games, 10 games, 20 games, 40 games, as many as we can get, is going to help us build the machine, help us roll to the playoffs like we hope to.”

Booker notched another 30+ point game, his third in his last five outings. Oddly enough, he didn't register a shot attempt in first quarter. Tonight also marked his fifth game with double-digit assists.

Brooklyn led by as much as 15 on the night. Every Nets starter scored 14+ points.

The Suns are back in action on Friday when the New York Knicks come to town.
