Former Phoenix Suns center JaVale McGee is signing with the Dallas Mavericks, according to Yahoo's Chris Haynes.

Just hours prior, Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro tweeted out Dallas had gained major steam in the race for McGee, who reportedly wanted a multi-year deal. Milwaukee was also in the running according to Gambo.

The Suns were reportedly not willing to sign McGee past a one-year contract.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported it was a three-year, $20.1 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, with a player option for the third season.

McGee made $5 million during the 2021-22 season with Phoenix, where he played 74 games for the Suns, averaging 9.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in just under 16 minutes played.
