Suns Reveal Status of Bradley Beal vs Timberwolves
Editors note: Bradley Beal has been ruled out for tonight.
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns are listing Bradley Beal as probable for tomorrow's matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
AZ Republic's Duane Rankin first reported earlier Tuesday that Beal would play on top of Devin Booker making his return.
"Sources have informed The Arizona Republic that Devin Booker is expected to make his return Wednesday after missing five straight games with a right calf strain and Bradley Beal will also play after tweaking his back again in Sunday’s home loss to Oklahoma City."
Beal - dealing with lower back tightness - has played in the last three games for Phoenix after missing the first seven. He's averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists thus far.
Injuries have depleted the Suns' roster thus far, as Beal and Booker have missed several games in the team's 4-6 start.
“That’s where I kick myself a little bit because if I’m not going to be useful to the team, which I probably wasn’t as much in the second half, then I shouldn’t of damn then been out there, but that’s just me being hard headed and me just wanting to contribute anyway I can,” Beal said (h/t Duane Rankin).
“I definitely got to smart moving forward and just being smart and understanding there are other guys who can probably impact the game at much higher level if I’m not able to do so.”
Suns-Wolves will tip just after 7:00 PM. Minnesota will be coming off a back-to-back after playing the Golden State Warriors tonight. They've won their last six games heading into Tuesday.
