Andrew Wiggins Last Minute Injury Update for Warriors vs Clippers
The Golden State Warriors are facing the LA Clippers in a tough back-to-back tonight, and it seems like it may have gotten tougher.
According to a report from Chris Haynes, Andrew Wiggins has suddenly been downgraded to out against the LA Clippers due to personal reasons.
Fortunately for the Warriors, Klay Thompson is expected to play in his first back-to-back of the season tonight against the Clippers. Unfortunately for the Warriors, the team is still missing Steph Curry and really needs all the help they can get.
The timing is especially unfortunate because Wiggins just started to find his groove again, putting up 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists on 55% shooting from the field. He's really started to find his rhythm in the last four games, averaging 19.25 points a game.
The Warriors have been an especially bad team on the road this season, with a shocking record of 7-21. The Clippers have been a mediocre team at home with a record of 14-13, but a fantastic road team. If the Warriors are going to have any chance of winning this game, they're going to really need both Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole to step up. Additionally, JaMychal Green and Ty Jerome will have to put up solid contributions. It's not impossible for the Warriors, but it will be difficult.
