Having competed against each other for more than a decade, Chris Paul and Steph Curry are now teammates with the Golden State Warriors. During a recent ESPN interview, Paul got honest about his relationship with Curry.

"Me and Steph have known each other a long time," Paul said. "My wife was at his wedding, I think him and his wife was at our wedding. We've known each other for a very long time. I'm excited for a chance to get to play alongside him, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond, all them."

Curry being Golden State's point guard led many to believe their interest in Paul was illegitimate, because they clearly were not in need of a starter at that spot. With the Warriors acquiring Paul despite this, it now seems as if he could be open to transitioning into a bench role for the first time in his career.

A starting backcourt of Curry and Paul would seem odd, but Curry's ability to play off the ball could make it work if necessary. At a minimum, Paul should provide the Warriors with more stability in the non-Curry minutes, which is something they were in desperate need of last season.

Opponents for so long, Curry and Paul will now be joining forces in an attempt to win the Warriors their fifth title of this era, and Paul the first of his career.
