Draymond Green Reacts to Steph Curry's Comments About Him

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry had high praise for Draymond Green

In an appreciation post for Draymond Green, the Golden State Warriors shared a 2021 quote from Steph Curry about his teammate's basketball IQ. Curry's quote, which was shared by the Warriors on Instagram, read, "[Draymond Green] is the smartest basketball player I've ever played with... He can execute the angle of the pass, speed of the pass, timing of the pass, whatever it is - he's a master at it."

Green shared this quote on his Instagram story, and wrote, "Helluva compliment from a [GOAT]."

Green and Curry have been one of the NBA's most lethal duos over the last decade, and will remain a partnership for at least the next few seasons. With Green signing a contract extension this summer to remain with the Warriors longterm, there is both hope and belief in Golden State that more championships can be won with this core.

While Green is not the player he once was, he still provides the Warriors with a very unique skillset that is hard to replicate. An elite defender even this late into his career, Green is also a versatile offensive weapon with his IQ and passing ability. This has been especially evident whenever Green has missed time the last few seasons, as Golden State regularly struggles in his absence.

While Steph Curry is the Warriors' franchise, Green has been a great parter for a long time.
