The Golden State Warriors are playing another crucial Western Conference matchup on Sunday night. This seems to be the case with every game the Warriors play at this point, but this game vs. the Timberwolves could go a long way towards deciding who secures a top-six seed, and who ends up in the play-in tournament.

Winners of their last three games, the Warriors currently sit 1.5 games above the Timberwolves in the standings. The Warriors enter play on Sunday as the sixth seed, and the Timberwolves enter play on Sunday in a three-way tie with the Lakers and Pelicans for the seventh seed. The Timberwolves are also on a mini two-game winning streak, which has helped them climb back to an even .500 on the season.

The Warriors are tied with the Clippers for the fifth seed, and could move above LA in the standings with a win in this one. There are significant injury storylines to follow in this game, as key players are listed on the injury reports for both sides. For the Warriors, they look to be getting versatile guard Gary Payton II back for this game. Payton is listed as probable to play, which will be his first game back with the Warriors since leaving in free agency and being traded back to Golden State. Andre Iguodala, Ryan Rollins, and Andrew Wiggins remain out for the Warriors.

For the Timberwolves, there are some significant names listed on the injury report. Anthony Edwards, Karl Anthony Towns, and Jaylen Nowell are all questionable for Minnesota. The only player ruled out as of right now for the Timberwolves is Matt Ryan. As previously mentioned, this is a huge game for both teams, and the Warriors will look to stay hot with a win over the Timberwolves.
