Golden State Warriors Add New Player

The Warriors are getting a look at some new talent

It was reported by NBA Insider Chris Haynes that the Golden State Warriors will be adding free agent point guard Yuri Collins to their Summer League roster. Collins went undrafted out of St. Louis, and will look to make an impression on Golden State (and possibly other teams) at Summer League.

Collins played four seasons at St. Louis, averaging 11.2 PPG and 10.1 APG in his final season. These Summer League opportunities are always great for undrafted players, because as previously mentioned, they get an opportunity to impress every team around the league.

As the Miami Heat proved with their latest Finals run, talent can be found outside of the draft. While these undrafted players were not selected, many of them will still have opportunities to make an impact at the NBA level. For most of them, their journey begins with opportunities like the one Golden State is presenting Collins with.

The Warriors should have an interesting Summer League, because while they are a team in title contention, they also have some exciting young pieces that will be showcasing their talent in Las Vegas. For Collins, he will hope to put his playmaking ability on display that made him such a quality point guard during his time at St. Louis.

NBA Summer League will be played in Las Vegas, and should be exciting for all the organizations and players.
