Injury Report: Warriors Give Return Date for Andrew Wiggins

The Golden State Warriors will have Andrew Wiggins back after the All-Star break

Andrew Wiggins was unexpectedly ruled out for Tuesday night's game against the Golden State Warriors due to personal reasons, but the team expects to have him back for their first game after the All-Star break. The Warriors will head into the break after facing the Clippers on Tuesday, and Steve Kerr confirmed before the game that everything is alright with Wiggins, and he will be back for their next game.

This is great news for the Warriors, who have dealt with far too many injuries throughout the course of the season. Wiggins has been playing really well, and the Warriors certainly do not need him missing any more time than he already has this season.

While Wiggins will be sidelined on Tuesday night, the Warriors will have Klay Thompson, who is playing his first back-to-back since 2019. Thompson has not previously been cleared to play both nights of a back-to-back, so this is a huge step in his recovery. Having already posted some big time games since returning, Thompson certainly looks close to his pre-injury form, but back-to-backs were one of the final hurdles he needed to clear from a physical standpoint in order to be without any real limitations.

Without Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins for this game vs. the Clippers, the Warriors will rely heavily on players like Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Jordan Poole.
