Jordan Poole's First Game vs. Warriors Revealed
The NBA is set to release the full 2023-24 schedule on Thursday, but Anthony Slater of The Athletic has obtained the date of when the Golden State Warriors will host Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards next season. According to Slater, Poole will make his lone trip to San Francisco on December 22nd next season.
This will be a big moment on the NBA schedule, and one the will likely be nationally televised. Not only will Poole be honored before the game by the Warriors with a tribute video for his contributions to a championship, but there will also be the layer of his first matchup vs. Draymond Green.
While Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have both publicly shared their support for Poole, Green has taken a slightly different approach when discussing his former teammate this offseason. While Green has spoken on Poole this summer, his comments have primarily been about their incident, most notably when he said on Patrick Beverley's podcast. "I don't just hit people... We know stuff that you don't say amongst men. We know things that you have to stand on."
Poole has continued to dodge all questions about Green and that incident, which is primarily the approach he has taken since it occurred. Set to face his former team in late-December, Poole will have all eyes on him for that game.
