The Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Golden State Warriors for a preseason game on Friday night, and star forward LeBron James is expected to play, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin. James had previously mentioned his plan to play in half of LA's preseason games, as he wants to manage his workload as he gets later and later into his career.

While the preseason does not meant much, it's exciting any time Steph Curry and LeBron James share the floor. Both stars are expected to play in this game, which should make for a fun atmosphere in Los Angeles, even with it being a preseason game.

The Lakers are returning a very similar roster to the one they ended last season with, so there are not too many new pieces they need to integrate. That said, preseason reps are still valuable after a long summer, so the Lakers will look to take something out of this matchup with Golden State.

For the Warriors, these are also very valuable reps, as their team changed quite a bit this offseason. Still without Draymond Green, Golden State does not have their full roster available, but they will have an opportunity to get more reps with Chris Paul.

It's always fun whenever Golden State and Los Angeles face off, and this should be one of the more exciting preseason games in the NBA.
