Having missed the last five games with a thigh strain, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic may be ready to make his return on Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors. Initially listed as questionable on the first injury report, Doncic has now been upgraded to probable for Wednesday night's game, which means he is expected to play.

This is a massive Western Conference matchup, as the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks are currently separated by just a half-game in the standings. Entering play on Wednesday, the Warriors sit a half-game above Dallas for the six-seed. The Mavericks and Thunder are both tied at an even .500 on the year, which puts them both in the play-in picture.

A win against the Warriors on Wednesday would put Dallas back into the six-seed, which is something they certainly have their focus on. The play-in tournament has changed how teams view the last few weeks of the season, as there is immense pressure to make the top-six. With Doncic being upgraded to probable for this game, it seems as if the Mavericks wanted to hold him out until this very important contest.

With Doncic now expected to play, the Warriors and Mavericks will tip off at 4:30 PM PST in what could go down as one of the biggest games of the season.
