NBA Admits Two Blown Calls in Warriors vs. Timberwolves Game
The NBA has released their Last Two Minute Report for Sunday night's game between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves, and it revealed two blown calls that actually benefited the Warriors. The first was an illegal screen on Draymond Green, and the second was a travel on Jordan Poole. Neither of these were called, and the NBA admitted that both of them should have been.
The Warriors fell to Minnesota anyways, despite having a real opportunity to grab a win down the stretch. It was a disastrous final few possessions for Golden State, as Draymond Green and Jordan Poole both turned the ball over at critical times. Any time a game comes down to the wire like this one did, the officiating is put under an even greater microscope; however, there is nothing the Warriors can complain about as it pertains to the Last Two Minute Report in this one.
Failing to capitalize on a real opportunity to create some additional separation between themselves in the play in tournament, the Warriors dropped a crucial game to the Timberwolves, falling into a tie with them in the loss column. Still a half-game up on Minnesota overall, the Warriors do have the inside track to finishing top-six, but they have to keep their foot on the gas pedal, as the Timberwolves have won three-straight, and the Pelicans have won four-straight.
Despite this loss, the Warriors do feel good about where they're trending. Having already gotten Gary Payton II back, the hope is that they can get fully healthy entering the playoffs, which would give them a good chance against anybody.
