Patrick Beverley Reveals Why He Chose Bulls Over Warriors
A few days ago, Patrick Beverley teased that he wanted to be a member of the Golden State Warriors so that he could join Draymond Green. It turns out, it was more than just a tease, and that Patrick Beverley was actually almost going to sign with the Warriors.
On the newest episode of the Pat Bev Pod, Beverley revealed that he was actually deciding between choosing the Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls for his next team.
"I'm going to be taking my talents back home," Beverley said. "It was between Golden State and the Bulls. Obviously, it's always good to play with a lot of great talent in Golden State, but y'know, a lot of guards over there. So, I figured I could make a playoff push with the Bulls right now, and kinda pop them up a little bit. The east is kinda weak. I'm excited man, I'm excited. I get to take my son to school. I get to take my son and baby girl to school, I get to pick them up, I get to rep my city on my chest."
Beverley would have been a fantastic defensive addition to the Golden State Warriors, giving them everything they could have needed. However, they definitely do have a surplus of guards and it would be tough to see how he fits in the rotation. At the end of the day, Patrick Beverley has never played for his hometown, and it's always great to see that type of reunion for a player.
