During a recent episode of Podcast P, which is presented by Wave Sports and Entertainment, LA Clippers star Paul George revealed that he almost teamed up with LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers before being traded from the Indiana Pacers to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

At the time George was traded to OKC, everybody knew that his time in Indiana was coming to a close. There were several different reports about where George could land, but according to the star forward, he was actually in discussions with LeBron James on how the two sides could make a trade to Cleveland work.

"I thought I was gonna go to Cleveland," George said. "Cleveland was close to getting me with [LeBron James] there."

George continued, saying, "I'm chopping it up with Bron like, 'Yo, how can we make this work?' We're trying to figure it out. He's going back to [Cavaliers management], telling them how to get me. So I'm thinking like, 'Oh, okay, we might make this happen. I might be with Bron over here in Cleveland."

George revealed that the trade fell through, because the Pacers and Cavaliers were in the same division, and Indiana did not want to strengthen one of their rivals. George was ultimately traded to the OKC Thunder, where he teamed up with Russell Westbrook in the Western Conference.
