During an episode of The Shop before the NBA season began, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green spoke on his inability to get up for games against bad teams. When the Sacramento Kings were thrown out as one of those teams, Draymond said, "The Kings stink."

Green did acknowledged that Sacramento could improve this season, saying, "The Kings may get better I hope."

Green's follow-up ended up being correct, as Sacramento secured the third-seed, and could very well end up facing Golden State in the first round of the playoffs. With this potential matchup looming, one report revealed that Kings players remember this disrespect from Green:

Green recently said on an episode of his podcast that he would welcome a first round matchup with the Kings, stating, "I'm not upset if the standings shook out how they did today and we met Sacramento in the first round. Not because I think Sacramento is a weak team, because the travel is so much easier."

Green continued, saying, "The reason why I said Sac is simply just because of the travel. That's a lot on your body. If we can bus ride an hour and 10 minutes up the way, I just think that’s much better for us. At the end of the day, I don't really care who we play in the playoffs, I think we can win.”
