Steph Curry's Status vs. Spurs Revealed
The Golden State Warriors are playing their preseason finale on Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs, and Steph Curry will be available, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic. While many teams around the league choose to rest their stars for multiple preseason games, the Warriors gave Curry just one game off, as they want him to continue building chemistry with new veteran Chris Paul.
The dynamic between Curry and Paul has looked great so far this preseason, and the Warriors will get another look at it on Friday with both point guards in the starting lineup alongside Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney.
While this is of course just the preseason, the Warriors have looked very good so far, and hope to bring this momentum into the regular season. Unbeaten so far in the preseason, the Warriors will look to make it a perfect 5-0 before starting over again at the beginning of the regular season.
The decision to play Curry and Paul in this preseason finale is one driven by Golden State's need for as many game reps as possible. Still without Draymond Green, there will be another adjustment period for the Warriors once he returns, but they are getting some very valuable reps right now with their other regular rotation players.
Looking to stay perfect, the Warriors will take on the Spurs at 7:00 PM PST on Friday night.
