Updated Injury Report: Warriors vs. Mavericks
With seeding in the tightly contested Western Conference on the line, the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks are set to face-off in a crucial contest on Wednesday night. Just hours before tip-off, both teams have extensive injury reports, with key players being listed on both sides.
For the Mavericks, star guard Luka Doncic has been upgraded from questionable to probable, meaning he is expected to make his return. Kyrie Irving, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Markieff Morris all remain questionable for Dallas.
For the Warriors, their injury report looks similar to the way it has for a while now. Andrew Wiggins remains out for personal reasons, and he is joined on the inactive list by Ryan Rollins, Gary Payton II, and Andre Iguodala. Both Draymond Green and Kevon Looney are listed as probable for Golden State.
With Doncic looking to make his return in this game, fans should get the Steph Curry vs. Luka Doncic matchup that was seen in last year's Western Conference Finals. While neither Dallas or Golden State have looked like the dominant version of themselves that fans grew so used to last postseason, there is still a level of optimism on both sides that damage can be done if they enter the postseason healthy.
This game will go a long way towards determining seeding, as the Warriors currently sit just a half-game above the Mavericks in the Western Conference standings. The Mavericks could jump the Warriors in the standings with a win in this one, but looking to avoid that outcome, the Warriors can extend their lead on Dallas with a win themselves.
