Updated Injury Report: Warriors vs. Spurs
The Golden State Warriors are set to take on the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. It will be a home game for the Warriors against a bottom-tier Spurs team, which sets them up nicely for victory. That said, there are no easy nights in the NBA, and the Warriors must approach this game with the appropriate level of focus.
Another bit of good news for the Warriors entering this game, is that their injury report is relatively clean. The only names listed out for Golden State are Andre Iguodala, Ryan Rollins, and Andrew Wiggins. There was a Wiggins update today that reported the versatile forward is back in the Bay Area, but there is no update on what this means for a potential return to the team.
As for San Antonio, their injury report is incredibly extensive, Charles Bassey, Khem Birch, Zach Collins, and Jeremy Sochan are all out for San Antonio. Keldon Johnson, Romeo Langford, Doug McDermott, and Devin Vassell are all listed as questionable. While the Warriors already have a talent advantage over San Antonio, there is a real chance they end up facing and incredibly depleted version of the Spurs.
As previously stated, none of this means the Warriors can show up and expect to win on Friday night. There is not enough room between the Warriors in the play-in tournament to not approach every single game with maximum focus. This is a good opportunity for the Warriors to get a victory, but they will have to earn it.
