Jonathan Kuminga may only be a third-year player with the Golden State Warriors, but he absolutely isn't thinking like one.

Kuminga revealed to the media after the preseason game against the Lakers on Saturday that he's asked Warriors coaches and teammates to hold him accountable for rebounding in practice.

"If I don't do it right, they stop practice," Kuminga said. "It's been a consistent thing every day. I'm not great at it, but I'm working on it."

One coach in particular who has really been on Kuminga is Kenny Atkinson. As it stands, the extra challenge is working. Kuminga led the Warriors in rebounding against the Lakers on Saturday, putting up 24 points and 8 rebounds. It's a great challenge to see from a young player, especially one on the same team as Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. It would be very easy to take it easy and let the top-heavy starters of the Warriors handle the bulk of the work, but Kuminga isn't that type of player.

Considering how top-heavy the Golden State Warriors are, they're definitely going to need whatever extra effort Kuminga can bring to the team. Without Jordan Poole, the Warriors are missing their biggest scoring punch off the bench. There is a void to be filled, and that's something Jonathan Kuminga can help fix.
