The Golden State Warriors are set to take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, but Philly will be without one major piece. Star guard James Harden has been ruled out of this contest; however, MVP candidate Joel Embiid is expected to play.

Embiid's status is not yet official, but head coach Doc Rivers said before the game that Embiid is indeed expected to play against Golden State in this one. Every game is crucial at this point in the season, especially for a Warriors team that is looking to escape the play-in tournament. Golden State has been playing better lately, winning their last two games on the road, and they will look to build off that momentum in this game against Philly.

Golden State's road struggles have been well documented all season, but the team has begun to snap out of it as of late. Now back home against a very good 76ers team, the Warriors will look to continue their home dominance that has been there all season long.

The 76ers enter play on Friday just a half-game out of the second seed, and three games out of the first seed. Having won 9 of their last 10 games, the 76ers are on a roll, making this a tough game for the Warriors. Determined to prove they are still a threat, this would be a great statement win for the Warriors to get.
