Washington Wizards Ahead Of The Toronto Raptors At The Half 64-45

The Washington Wizards are off to a good start and have a large 64-45 lead at halftime against the Toronto Raptors.

The Washington Wizards find themselves needing to hold a big lead in order to win this game against the Toronto Raptors.

At the halftime buzzer the score has the Wizards ahead in dominating fashion 64-45 and are shooting an impressive 62 percent from the field.

Roles were reversed tonight as the starters got off to a great start especially from Washington forward Kyle Kuzma and guard Tyus Jones and the bench came in and struggled but eventually locked down to keep the lead.

Leading the scoring for the Wizards is Kuzma with 19 points on 61 percent shooting.

In the first half the big difference was how improved the rebounding has been for Washington, leading in that department 22-19.

For the Raptors center Jakob Poeltl and forward Pascal Siakam are tied for the team high in points with 10 each.

The Wizards are an impressive 7-11 from three-point land and Toronto is shooting just 2-11 from deep.

Washington center Daniel Gafford has been great as well leading the way in rebounds with seven and contributing nine points while also adding two blocks.

11 turnovers for the Wizards and they have forced the Raptors to turn it over nine times.

The keys for the second half for Washington to hold on and win this game is to continue to shoot the three ball well and to keep limiting the second chance points.
