The Washington Wizards (2-8) come back home after a couple disappointing losses to face the Dallas Mavericks (8-3) at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Tip-off is at 6:00 PM EST.

After losing three straight games that the Wizards had a lead in the fourth quarter, they will look to bounce back in front of the home crowd against a tough Mavericks team.

Washington Wizards Blow 23 Point Lead in Loss to Toronto Raptors

Let's see how the Inside the Wizards staff views the game tonight.

Gage Sheets: Mavericks 130 Wizards 128 (Prediction Record: 5-2)

This should be a really high scoring and fast paced game.

The two teams matching up that are top ten in the NBA for shooting percentage, pace and points per game.

Both defenses are also bottom five in the league on allowing opponents points per game.

Even though Washington is reeling from blowing that 23-point lead to the Toronto Raptors, I think they have a chance in this game to shock everyone.

The Wizards have struggled with two areas, rebounds and interior defense, neither of those Dallas is in a position to expose.

In terms of rebounding, the Mavericks average 9.9 offensive and 41.7 total rebounds a game. Those numbers are both in the bottom 10 in the NBA.

Dallas also only scores 43.3 points in the paint per game which goes for third worst in the league.

If the Wizards can limit the damage from the three-point area they can shock the NBA tonight.

Wizards Desperately Need To Improve In This Area

Darrell Owens: Mavericks 143, Wizards 125 (Prediction Record 3-1)

The Washington Wizards (2-8) are facing the Dallas Mavericks (8-3) in their first game of a three-game home stand. This game will be the first of two matchups between Dallas & Washington this season. The Wizards lost Monday against the Toronto Raptors 111-107. The Wizards are currently in a three-game losing streak.

What makes this three-game losing streak so bad the Wizards have been clearly outplayed except in the last game where they held a 23 point lead and were not able to finish the deal against Toronto. Unfortunately for the Wizards, it doesn’t get easier tonight with the Mavericks coming into town. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving should easily lead the Mavericks to victory tonight.
