Eastern Conference Swingman On Wizards Radar
The Wizards are not done making trades. In fact, nobody is at this time. The party may seem to just be getting started for some teams and that includes the Washington Wizards.
Wizards Make Trade With Detroit Pistons
Bringing in Marvin Bagley from the Detroit Pistons was a move that we all felt should have been done much sooner. He has been a force for the Wizards and finally looks like the player many expected him to be. Their front court was lacking depth this season. Daniel Gafford was the only true big man the Wizards could show for this season. With that being the case, the Wizards acquired Marvin Bagley and it has been a match made in heaven for both sides.
Why Trading For Marvin Bagley Was The Right Decision
Now that was one successful move by the Wizards. Yet, the Wizards may not be done improving their team yet. They have been linked to a wing who will help this team in more ways than one, Quentin Grimes of the New York Knicks.
Grimes is a player a lot like Wizards Rising Star Bilal Coulibaly. He is a player who will put his focus of attention on the defensive end of the ball. That is something the Wizards desperately need, more perimeter defenders. He has shown the ability to knock down the open three ball occasionally as well. This move makes a lot of sense for the Wizards. It is important to keep Bilal Coulibaly fresh and energized throughout the duration of every season. Acquiring Quentin Grimes gives the Wizards the opportunity to do so. This acquisition of Grimes could be a lot like the acquisition of Marvin Bagley, a perfect fit.
