Is It Time To Bench Jordan Poole?
When things are bad in life, one typically feels the struggles of it each and everyday. They may be stressed out a bit and do some reflecting on how they can better themselves. That tends to happen once they receive some constructive criticism. Constructive criticism is one of the best things that can happen to someone. That means people care about your work ethic. That also means they want you to succeed and want to help you succeed too. Constructive criticism usually comes with some form of a change in your role too. It can sometimes be associated with a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan).
Jordan Poole 0 points, Wizards With Nine Turnovers At The Half
Jordan Poole is in need of a PIP and the time has now come for the Wizards to bench Jordan Poole. At this point, he is now hurting the team more so than helping them. He just hasn’t been able to find the hole and put the ball in the basket this season. Having a scoreless game in the NBA as a starter definitely shouldn’t sit well with anyone.
Alarming Stat For Jordan Poole
However, having single digit scoring games and games where you only make one or two shots in four quarters certainly is disturbing. It disturbs the offensive flow of the game of moments that may matter the most too. Efficiency at any job is important. People get performance reviews and audits every day and every month. His performance isn’t starter worthy at this point of time, especially with the amount of money he is making. Sitting him down on the bench, limiting his role for the time being is the perfect solution for him.
By no means is this an attack on Jordan Poole. This is something that needs to be done because the Wizards care about his performance and need him to play better. Getting benched could give Poole the reality check that he needs to take better shots, work harder, and to ultimately become more efficient and the player we know him to be from his time in Golden State with the Warriors.
