Porzingis Drops 36 Points To End The Season Series with Charlotte

WASHINGTON-The Washington Wizards were home to take on the Charlotte Hornets in their second game of the three-game home stand. This game was the final game of the season series between Charlotte and Washington.

The Season Series So Far…

Going into this game, the Wizards had a 2-1 lead in the season series. Game 1 Washington defeated Charlotte 108-100. Kyle Kuzma had a team-high 20 points and picked up six rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis scored 19 points and snagged 8 rebounds in Game 1.

Game 2 Washington defeated Charlotte 106-102. Like in the first game, Kyle Kuzma had team-high points. Kuzma dropped 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win. Bradley Beal scored 26 points while Corey Kispert (14 points), Deni Avdija (12 points) and Kristaps Porzingis (12 points) helped pushed Washington to the win.

Game 3 Charlotte defeated Washington 117-116. Bradley Beal had a game-high 33 points while picking up seven assists & grabbing six rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis had his second straight double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

In Wednesday’s night game both the Wizards and Hornets would trade the lead back and forth until 8:17 left in the 3rd quarter when Kristaps Porzingis would give the Wizards the lead for good. Washington would win the season series 3-1 over Charlotte. Porzingis led the way with a game-high 36 points while grabbing nine rebounds. Deni Avdija scored 20 points while having a team-high 13 rebounds in the win. For the Hornets, PJ Washington had the team-high with 20 points.
