Trade Deadline: What To Expect from The Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are a hot topic approaching the February 8th trade deadline.

The trade deadline is approaching quickly, and the Washington Wizards roster may look completely different by 3 pm E.S.T. today.

After months of speculation on who may or may not be traded from the Wizards, we have reached the last few hours before finding out.

Forward Kyle Kuzma

According to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski on 'The Woj Pod' Kuzma will most likely not be traded as Washington truly values Kuzma and are looking for multiple first round draft picks.

The Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings have been the teams mentioned in the sweepstakes for Kuzma.

Kuzma's preference has been known that he wants to stay with the Wizards, and it appears that will happen.

Guard Tyus Jones

Playing on an expiring contract, moving Jones is more likely than others because you don't want to let him walk and get nothing in return.

According to Senior NBA Insider Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype Washington is looking for a first round pick back for Jones.

Also, according to Scotto, Jones is gathering interest from the Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves just made a trade for Detroit Pistons guard Monte Morris, so they are probably out on Jones.

Washington Wizards guard Tyus Jones (5) drives to the net against Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (1) during the first quarter at Footprint Center.

Forward Deni Avdija

Avdija was a player most thought was as close to untouchable as you could get but according to ESPN Insider Brian Windhorst on The Hoop Collective Avdija has been "dangled out there" by the Wizards.

Truly this is probably just a move to evaluate the value of Avdija and we don't see a move happening.

But if a team was willing to offer a significant return like multiple future first round picks that could turn into lottery picks you could certainly see Washington move to make a deal happen.

Center Daniel Gafford

Another name that has been circulating for months but has seemed to cool down as of recent is Gafford.

The interest in Gafford has been high from multiple teams but the ones that stick out is the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks, especially with the recent injuries to both teams.

Other names on the Washington roster to watch is guard Delon Wright, who will most likely be traded, look for returns of a second-round pick.

Everyone on the Washington roster is available at the right price and we believe there will be at least one surprise move today.
