In this story:

The NBA is all about depth nowadays. Back in the day, it used to be a one-man show as those players were asked to do a lot individually for their respected teams. The first team that may come to mind is the Philadelphia 76ers with Allen Iverson. He actually managed to almost pull it off as the Sixers managed to get to the NBA Finals only to lose to the LA Lakers. Other players you may think about is Ray Allen with the Milwaukee Bucks, Kevin Garnett with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Paul Pierce early on with the Boston Celtics.

Since the Boston Celtics showed the world that it is important to have depth and a big three of NBA All-Stars to win a championship in the NBA, big threes have been formed all over the league. It is key to everyone’s success nowadays. In 2017, the Washington Wizards could have had a big three of their own.

John Wall Doubles Down On Possible Bradley Beal Reunion

We know when you thought of the Wizards, the first guys that came to mind were John Wall and Bradley Beal. They had a lot of success together. However, something was missing and that may have caused them to come up short over the years. Someone was missing with the Wizards that could have changed everything for them.

That missing piece was All-Star Forward Paul George. He could have and should have been a Washington Wizard. Instead, the Wizards had Otto Porter who they invested a lot in financially.

Former Wizard Retires Mid-Season

This is certainly a decision that was regretted as John Wall wanted Paul George to join the Wizards desperately.
