Why Has Former Wizard Daniel Gafford Been Successful With Mavericks
It is hard to overcome losing the contributions of someone who works hard for their company. Often times when this happens, some companies may go bankrupt or go out of business. It is hard to replace someone who gives it their all each and every day and offer 110% for their job and company.
Is Daniel Gafford Being Underutilized?
That has been the case for the Washington Wizards. Daniel Gafford has been in and out of the lineup for the Wizards due to multiple injuries. He appears to finally be fully healthy now. Before getting traded to the Dallas Mavericks, Gafford was a player the Wizards didn’t ask much out of. However, they simply wanted him to defend and crash the boards. He has done well in that role for the Wizards. However, he seems like a different player now playing with the Mavericks. Well, why is that the case?
Revenge Game Could Be On Pace Tonight For Wizards, Gafford
Playing with the Wizards, no one on the perimeter was feared on the offensive end. While Kyle Kuzma has shown signs of being an NBA All Star despite being snubbed, he simply doesn’t strike fear into anyone on the offensive end. Luka Doncic certainly does, and we can’t forget about Kyrie Irving either who has won an NBA Championship too.
Gafford has been on fire since joining the Mavericks. He hasn’t had the opportunity to play for a team that has something to play for. Nor has he had the opportunity to play next to some of the best players in the game. His stock has already gone up if requested in a trade or even once he hits the open market as a free agent too. This may just be the beginning for Gafford as the Mavericks certainly look like a playoff team. He will be a vital piece to the success they will have in the postseason this year.
