The first trade of the NBA Draft involved the Washington Wizards who got forward Bilal Coulibaly who was selected with the seventh pick of the evening by the Indiana Pacers

In that swap, the Wizards also sent two future second-round picks to the Pacers leaving them all their picks in this year's draft still intact.

Before they got to their own second-round picks, however, a previous trade involving forward Kristaps Porzingis paid out another player with the Boston Celtics' second-round pick in this year's NBA Draft.

But that player won't be coming to Washington or Boston.

Julian Phillips (Tennessee) will go down as a Celtics draft pick, but his NBA career will begin with the Chicago Bulls because the 35th pick the Wizards acquired in the Porzingis deal was subsequently flipped to the Chicago Bulls for a pair of future second-round selections according to Shams Charania.

"Phillips has raw talent and needs reps to keep improving his game," says NBA.com's draft profile of the newest Wizards forward. "He's a player that will likely start his career at the G League level while crafting his offensive game but might be a solid role player in the future. If Phillips can hone his outside shot, the forward has the profile to be a competent three-and-D wing. Even if that's not the case, his defensive instincts should give him a place in the league, even if he has to work hard for it."

Washington's efforts to remake its roster continue, and now another team is experiencing shifts in its own makeup as a result.
