Earlier this year, the 24-year-old became the first openly gay player to be drafted by an NFL team when St. Louis selected him in the seventh round.
Sam said to the media after the Rams' preseason loss to the Dolphins last week that he's confident he'll make an NFL roster somewhere. The Rams' final roster spot this weekend went to West Texas A&M end Ethan Westbrooks.
