The New York Jets missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season in 2014 after finishing last in the AFC East with a 4-12.

After the season, the team fired Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik, replacing them with Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan, respectively and also replaced both coordinators as well.

The team upgraded their sixth-ranked defense from last season, signing cornerbacks Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie, and Buster Skrine and drafting defensive lineman Leonard Williams in the first round.

On offense, New York added wide receiver Brandon Marshall, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, and drafted wide receiver Devin Smith in the second round to try to improve on the league's worst passing attack from last season.

The Jets opened their training camp on July 30 in Florham Park, N.J.
