Watch: Eagles QB Tim Tebow runs for seven-yard TD in preseason game
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tim Tebow finally returned to an NFL field on Sunday, appearing in a preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Tebow came on after quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley each took reps. Sam Bradford, who is competing with Sanchez for the starting job, was declared inactive for the game.
With just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Tebow kept the snap and scampered to the right, diving into the end zone to touch the pylon.

Tebow finished the game completing 6-of-12 passes for 69 yards. He was sacked three times and rushed for 15 yards overall.
It was Tebow's first NFL action in a regular-season or preseason game since 2013, when he played in the preseason as a member of the New England Patriots. Tebow has not appeared in a regular-season game since 2012 with the New York Jets.
The Eagles signed Tebow to a one-year contract in April. In July, Philadelphia linebacker Brandon Grahamsaid he thinks Tebow will make the 53-man roster and “shock a lot of people” by playing a lot this season.
