Tim Tebow isn’t worrying about whether he makes Eagles’ roster
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tim Tebow says he isn’t thinking about whether he makes the team’s final 53-man roster.
“That’s not something I worry about, to be honest,” Tebow said, according to NJ.com. “I worry about what I can control and that’s come out and improve every day, enjoy the process, count your blessings and work extremely hard.
“You know, something I always try to practice is be anxious for nothing, but let your request be known to God. That’s how I try to handle that.”
Tebow has completed 8 of 17 passes for 82 yards this preseason. He has 46 rushing yards and one touchdown on seven carries. Tebow has been on a regular-season NFL roster since 2012 with the New York Jets.
Tebow has not impressed observers with his play thus far in the preseason.
The Eagles currently have four quarterbacks on their roster, including Tebow. Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez are considered locks to make the roster, while inexperienced backup Matt Barkley is less certain to stick around. Teams usually only carry two or three quarterbacks in the regular season.
