Reports: Colts QB Andrew Luck has ‘slight’ shoulder separation
Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has partially separated his throwing shoulder, Chris Hagan of Fox 59 in Indianapolis reports. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed Hagan’s report, describing the separation as “slight.”
Rapoport had reported earlier Monday that the Colts expect Luck to be able to play in Thursday’s game against the Texans. He missed Sunday’s overtime win over the Jaguars, with veteran Matt Hasselbeck getting the start at quarterback.
The Colts releasedJosh Johnson on Monday, leaving Hasselbeck and Luck as the only two quarterbacks on the active roster. Johnson was signed last week to serve as Hasselbeck’s backup.
Before Sunday, Luck had never missed an NFL game in his three-plus seasons in the league. He had struggled in his first three games of the season, throwing a league-high seven interceptions.
