The New York Jets took a 14-point lead over the Washington Redskins into the third quarter thanks to big scores from Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall.
First, after a Darrelle Revis interception, Fitzpatrick ran the ball 18 yards to score the longest touchdown run by a quarterback since Colin Kaepernick in December of last year.
Later, Marshall scored an even more impressive touchdown, making a shoestring catch, then stiff-arming two defenders before running free into the end zone.
The Jets went on to win the game, 34–20, moving to 4–1 for second place in the AFC East.
